Power Outage in Nairobi and Uasin Gishu

Kenya Power, the nation’s leading electricity provider, has announced planned electricity interruptions in designated areas within Nairobi and Uasin Gishu counties today, Monday, October 23, 2023.

The power company has emphasized that these scheduled interruptions are crucial to facilitate essential network maintenance.

Kenya Power issued the following statement: “The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow (23rd October 2023). The interruption is part of network maintenance.”

In Nairobi: Residents in specific sections of Dandora and Njiru will experience power interruptions during the day. These interruptions are scheduled to commence at 9:00 am and are expected to conclude at 5:00 pm.

In Dandora, the outage will impact residents and local businesses in the vicinity of Br. Andrea Hospital, Kinyago Primary School, Karia Shopping Center, Dandora Phase 2, Phase 3, and Phase 4, along with neighboring customers.

In the Njiru area, the interruption will affect services at Lexo Petrol Station, Bee Energy, Ola Petrol Station, St. Monica Catholic Church, Warutumo, Rama Hotel, Makama Hardware, Njiru Mosque, Njiru Light Industries, and adjacent customers.

Kenya Power advises affected residents and businesses to make necessary preparations to minimize any inconveniences during this maintenance period.
