Planned Power interruptions to affect four counties

In a recent announcement, Kenya Power has revealed that four counties will be subject to planned electricity interruptions today. The utility company made this declaration in a statement released on Wednesday night, outlining the areas and the duration of the interruptions, spanning from 9 am to 5 pm.

The affected counties include Nairobi, Nyandarua, Kilifi, and Mombasa. According to the statement, residents and businesses in these areas should prepare for temporary power outages.

The statement reads, “Hello, these areas will be affected by planned power interruptions tomorrow.”

In Nairobi, the following areas are expected to experience power interruptions: part of Riverside, part of Waiyaki Way, ICEA Lions, part of Riverside Drive, Riverside Gardens, UoN Chiromo mortuary, part of Ring Road Westlands Lane, part of Mutithi Road, part of Westland’s Road, Woodvale Groove, part of Ojijo Road, and adjacent customers.

Nyandarua County will see power interruptions in all areas of Engineer Town, including Engineer Brookside, Mike Eden, Ndunyu Njeru Town, KDI, Karima Girls, Nandras, Ndinda, Kaimba, Mkungi, Najibi Town, Sasumwa, and Kinamba.

Kilifi County will not be spared either, with planned interruptions affecting areas such as Simakeni, Kaliangombe, Kokotoni Centre, Corrogated, Iron Africa, Jimba Village, Jimba Secondary, Boyani Village, Kaoyeni, and adjacent customers.

Furthermore, Kenya Power has stated that residents and businesses in Tudor Catholic, Tudor Mwisho, Tudor Water, Sports, Mary Cliff, Kaa Chonjo, Nyumba ya Wazee, Simba Colt, Inspectorate, PCEA Makupa, Posta Houses, Kisiwi, St Kevin, part of Tudor, and adjacent customers in Mombasa should be prepared for the planned power interruptions.

The utility company advises affected customers to take necessary precautions during these interruptions, which are scheduled to last for the specified duration.
