President Uhuru Kenyatta has said no leader would utilize their position to escape arraignment.

The Head of State was speaking at St Francis of Asisi Catholic Church in Ruiru town yesterday during a church harambee.

He gave Sh3 million to the church and vowed to add Sh4 million more for the development of the church.

He said leaders found blameworthy of corruption would be held personally responsible for corruption dealings.

“Corrupt individuals should not be identified by their communities or religion. Let everyone carry their own cross,” he said.

The President further pointed out that it was the duty of each Kenyan to fight corruption.

He likewise urged leaders to quit politicizing the war on corruption.

Sonko and his Kiambu and Samburu counterparts, Ferdinand Waititu and Moses Kasaine Lenolkulal, are facing corruption charges.
