Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, has firmly put to rest speculations that he might settle down with Lydia Ronald, a lady who went online to seek the legislator’s hand in marriage.

On Wednesday evening, Salasya posted a picture of a lady, who he said suits his tastes and preferences.

“I want to make this clear that, my taste of a lady I can take to my honorable people down in the villages of Mumias East constituency and be accepted is like this one,” he said in a tweet.

Since early this week, Salasya has prominently featured in online conversations.

This is after he surprised many on Tuesday when he declared to support Ms Ronald in her music journey, instead of marrying her.

The two had lunch together at Parliament cafeteria, a day after the lady walked in the streets of Nairobi carrying a placard with a message: MP Peter Salasya, please marry me.
