A senior Kenya Air force officer at the Moi Airbase in Eastleigh in Nairobi was yesterday evening found dead in his car.
Col Flavian Mwangi Waweru was the Commandant of Kenya Air Force (KAF) Training Wing.
According to Police and military officials Waweru was found unresponsive in his car Monday evening along Juja Road next to the base gate.
Witnesses said they had seen
the car was seen at the scene for a long time by witnesses who were prompted to call the police and military officials.
The cause of his death is not yet disclosed.
Officials said that officer Waweru had left the camp at about 4 pm in his Toyota Vitz car and was headed for the city centre when he passed.
He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The body was later picked up to the mortuary as investigations go on.
