Waiguru says this about Ruto for meeting outgoing CSs

Waiguru

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has commended President William Ruto for holding a sitting with outgoing cabinet secretaries.

The CoG chair said the gesture demonstrates the President’s belief in democracy as he readies to appoint a new cabinet under the Kenya Kwanza administration.

“His Excellency the President William Ruto meeting Cabinet this morning before naming his new team is yet another demonstration of his belief in democracy and the perpetuity of Public Service,” Waiguru said in a tweet.

She said Ruto has set a very high standard and example of leadership which people should be emulated by other leaders.

Some of the cabinet secretaries in attendance openly campaigned against Ruto in the run-up to the August 9, general election.

“It is a testament to his unrivalled commitment to higher ideals of patriotism and statesmanship,” Waiguru said.

Ruto on Tuesday chaired his first cabinet meeting at State House, Nairobi which was attended by all cabinet secretaries.

The meeting came at a time Kenyans are anxiously waiting for the President to name his cabinet.

The current cabinet was appointed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
