DCI reacts on claimed Wetang’ula gold scandal audio

Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti has said his department is at present examining the spilled phone discussion affirmed to be between Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula and a delegate of the Dubai imperial family over the fake gold scam.

Kinoti says he is probing the legitimacy of the spilled phone discussion between a man claimed to be Senator Wetang’ula and a gold shipper apparently from the United Arab Emirate, requesting to know the status of what is said to be a gold deal.

The Bungoma County legislator is as of now out of the nation on official obligation and he could be among top government authorities who will be called to reveal more insight into the scandal.

“The syndicate involves high and mighty across the world. But rest assured, I will nail each and every criminal involved in this fake gold scandal. Ali Zhadi of Dubai is among so many others who have been scammed by these criminals,” said Kinoti on Sunday during an interview with Citizen TV.

Investigators from the serious crime unit, the cybercrime unit and economic CRIMES are working nonstop with an end goal to expose government authorities, legislators and shrewd agents behind the fake gold deal that is currently compromising Kenya’s conciliatory ties with the (UAE).
