Meet President Ruto’s new Aide-de-camp

President William Ruto has changed his Aide-de-camp, ADC weeks after takeover.

The President’s new ADC is Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga from the Kenya Army, taking over from Brigadier Timothy Lekolool who was promoted by former President Uhuru Kenyatta to the position and deployed to the Department of Defence headquarters.

The new ADC’s first duty saw him accompany President Ruto as he attended the burial of Jack Gachagua, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s brother in Mathira in Nyeri county

The ADC is deputised by Lt. Col. Damaris Agnetta, also from the Kenya Army.

She takes over from Racheal Nduta Kamui who has been promoted to a full Colonel and deployed to the Department of Defence headquarters.

A seasoned and decorated military officer serving as a senior Special Forces branch commander, Col. Lengusuranga was commissioned in 1999.

However, his deputy Lt. Col. Damaris Agnetta was commissioned in 2003 and has been serving as an Artillery officer.

The outgoing ADC was from the Kenya Navy while his deputy was from the Kenya Airforce.

The ADC  performs among other duties, standing behind the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces during official functions, receiving gifts and other items on behalf of the president, escorting the President to waiting cars as well as ensures that the president’s seat at any function is properly set as he sits.
