Governor Lusaka names ‘all-inclusive’ cabinet

Bungoma governor Kenneth Lusaka on Tuesday unveiled a list of County Executive Council members (CEC) who will help him deliver on his preelection pledges.

During the event, Lusaka fired his predecessor’s entire cabinet, saying his new team “complies with constitution’s principles of inclusivity, protection of the interests of the minorities and marginalised communities as well as ensuring gender balance.”

David Mamili Wanyonyi will head Education and Vocational Training docket, while Herbert Kibunguchi is appointed to head Environment, natural resources, water and energy docket.

Others are Caroylne Khalayi (Trade energy), Bonveture Chengek (Roads , transport, infrastructure and public works), Dr Andrew Wekesa Wamalwa (Health and Sanitation), Nancy Kibaba (Gender, culture, Youth and sports),
Monicah Salano Fedha (Agriculture, livestock fisheries , irrigation and cooperatives), and Wekesa Douglas Sasita (Lands ,urban planning ,housing and municipalities)

Benedict Emachar who represents the special interest groups has been nominated to oversee Public service management and administration.
During the announcement Lusaka also appointed Josephat Kangale as Senior liason officer and Joyshila Kilon’g as the liason officer in the Nairobi office.

Dr. Caleb Wata was appointed Director Medical Services while Bramwel Simiyu was appointed the Economic advisor.

Amos Makokha will be the legal advisor while Caren Wanyonyi will replace Carolyne Buyela in the Special programs docket.

Meanwhile, Lusaka has assigned his Deputy Jennifer Mbatiany to spearhead  investments, partnerships,resource mobilization department.

Mbatiany will work in tandem with the special programs department.
