Alfred Khang’ati lands state job in Ruto government

President Ruto has appointed former Kanduyi MP Alfred Khang’ati to be the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nzoia Sugar Company Limited.

In a gazette notice, President Ruto appointed Khang’ati to serve for a period of three years.

Khang’ati served as MP between 2007-2013, having been elected on ODM ticket.

He would unsuccessfully vie for Bungoma county gubernatorial seat, losing to Kenneth Lusaka of New Ford Kenya.

Having lost in the August 2022 General elections, Khang’ati defected to Ford Kenya, a party allied to Kenya Kwanza.

Ford Kenya is led by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.

Meanwhile, Ruto also appointed Abdillahi Ibrahim as chairperson of Kenya Medical Research Institute for three years, revoking Daniel Mbinda Musyoka’s appointment.

Also appointed is Samson Kipkoech Some, to serve as Chairperson of the Tourism Fund Board for three years.

His appointment came after that of Alphonse Kioko was been revoked.
