Details Of Ruto’s Secret Midnight Call To Alfred Mutua That Made Him Ditch Raila

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has revealed that Deputy President William Ruto called him on Wednesday 7th May at midnight and welcomed him to Join Kenya Kwanza.

This is after he decried frustrations in Raila Odinga led Azimio-One Kenya Alliance. According to the governor, the small parties were not given a chance at the discussion table in the Raila-led coalition.

“We still have time. There is the option of joining Kenya Kwanza. I saw a missed call this morning from DP Ruto. On Wednesday, his people have been calling me for weeks, ” said Mutua.

And now, the governor has shifted course and has officially joined DP Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza. Taking to a morning press, Mutua says that Kenya Kwanza is the best party and ruto is the best leader for Kenyans.

“I have been one of the fiercest critics of Ruto, but if you look at the scenario in this country, you need to put the needs of Kenyans first.”

“The decision is not personal, it is about the party. My interests are that the Maendeleo Chap Chap party should grow and let’s be honest, the Azimio la Umoja has chased us away hence we will go where we are needed,” he noted.

The governor has now shifted gears and will be channelling all his energies on campaigning for DP Ruto. Azimio-One Kenya alliance supporters have claimed that the coalition is not losing anything since he has no impact on the party.
