Musaka FC edge out Kimugui FC to clinch NG-CDF title

The NG-CDF Kanduyi 2021/22 tourney in East Sang’alo has come to conclusion, with Musaka FC crowned new champions.

In a match played under sporadic heavy downpours at Kimugui Primary School, Musaka FC beat Kimugui FC to clinch the title.

With just 16 minutes into the match, Job Kong’ani fired his team ahead after skillfully picking out the defense line. The goal would turn both a match and title winner.

Prior to the match, Kimugui were billed for victory given how they crushed teams en route to Sunday’s finale.

However, it proved a hard nut to crack as Musaka played their hearts out.

Despite their dorminancy of the second half, they hardly attempted at goal. Their opponents deployed everything at their disposal to defend the sole goal.

The rapturous celebration at the final whistle showed how Musaka, a team full of youngsters were eager for the title.

“The discipline shown here is commendable.” Commented Cleophas Kiberenge, tournament coordinator.

“All the teams played with desire and professionalism throughout the tournament.” He added.

A total of 120 teams took part in the competition across Kanduyi constituency, 20 from East Sang’alo.

Top four teams are winning cash prizes, on top of soccer kits issued to every participating team.

The remaining seven wards will host their separate finals starting Easter Monday.
