Oparanya warns Raila against handshake with President Ruto

OPARANYA

Ex Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya has cautioned the opposition leader Raila Odinga to shun a handshake with President William Ruto at all costs.

Oparanya spoke on Saturday at the Azimio rally in Kisumu, warning Raila that he would be left alone if he chose a handshake.

He insists that Raila must contend for his purportedly stolen triumph as opposed to shaking hands with the president.

“We want you to fight for your victory and become the president of Kenya,” Oparanya said.

Raila has, however, insisted that he does not want a handshake or any form of negotiations with Ruto.

The President has recently claimed that Raila’s political rallies are aimed at putting him under pressure to accept a handshake with Azimio.
