A 68-year-old mother who sat her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams this year and scored 143 marks has said she is readying herself up to join form one in January 2019.

The mother of 10 says she is determined to achieve her dream of becoming an accountant after her studies to enable her to manage her farm and properties well.

“As a farmer, my employees often conned me because I lacked simple record-keeping skills. But I have acquired arithmetic skills and I’m looking forward to joining secondary school to further my studies,” said Ms Matilu said in an interview Citizen Digital.

“I have already informed my children to get me the necessary textbooks as I wait to join Form One,” she added.

She said she was resolved to facilitate her studies up to college and be an affirmed accountant.

On the off chance that all goes well and her desires worked out as expected, Matilu will sit her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) when she is 72 years old.

In spite of the fact that she didn’t score as she had expected in languages, she managed to score a D in both science and Kiswahili.

The mother of 10 said she could now do basic number calculation and fluently speak Kiswahili when she visited offices.
