A graduate was stoned to death on Thursday after he admitted that he was among a group of four that raged Litein home where they killed one individual and raped four young girls.
The aggressors killed a 73-year-elderly woman and raped her three granddaughters and a house help. On Thursday, it developed that one of the murderers was a Maseno University graduate.
Witnesses said he turned up at the home of the people in question and admitted committing the heinous act.
The 24-year-old, Sylvester Lang’at, graduated with the Maseno University School of Education class of 2018.
“He showed up at the home at 6 am and confessed being among the four,” Caleb Kirui said.
Residents grilled him over the homicide before stoning him to the point of death.
“He said he only raped the girls but did not kill the granny. Angry residents lynched him,” Kirui said.
Kericho County Police boss James Mugera affirmed the episode, saying that: “The suspect allegedly confessed to the crime. Unfortunately, by the time police officers arrived at the scene, they had lynched him,” he said.
