African First Ladies organization elects Margaret Kenyatta as Vice Chair

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta was on Saturday unanimously chosen as the Vice Chair of the Organization of African First Ladies Against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA).

Margaret Kenyatta will deputize Burkina Faso First Lady Mrs Sika Bella Kabore who is the present director of the mainland First Ladies Organization.

The polls of OAFLA’s Vice Chair position were held at the AU Commission Old Buildings amid the Steering Committee meeting of OAFLA in front of the association’s 22nd Ordinary General Assembly set for Sunday February 10, 2019.

The OAFLA General Assembly is occurring as an afterthought lines of AU Heads of State and Government which is being gone to by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The elevation of Kenya to vice chair of the OAFLA comes just a day after AU individuals collectively re-chose Kenya as an individual from the AU security council for an additional three years.

OAFLA is a non-governmental, not-for-profit driven association established in 2002 by 37 African first ladies. he stage of her Beyond Zero activity.
