Harambee Stars’ coach once again leaves out Oliech as he names squad for Ghana match

Harambee Stars

Former Harambee Stars captain and Gor Mahia striker, Dennis Oliech, has once again been left out of Harambee Stars 24-man provisional squad to clash with Ghana.

Stars head Coach Sebastien Migne has named a 24-man provisional squad for Kenya’s final Afcon Qualifying match against Ghana.

Oliech was first left out as Migne named a 24-man local based squad for the forthcoming Chan qualifiers.

Football enthusiasts have asked the coach to give Oliech a chance, arguing that with the experience the player has can help the national team to progress through the group stages in Egypt.

The French trainer has further named an additional five reserve players as a precautionary measure, who may be called upon to replace any of the 24 players in camp if need be.

The team is set to hit camp on March 17, 2019, in Nairobi ahead of the Ghana match which has been slated for March 23, 2019, in Accra.

Notable absentees include the injured Ayub Timbe, in-form Jesse Were and David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng who currently is unattached.

This is the final competitive match for Harambee Stars before the Nations Cup and a win or draw will guarantee top spot in Group ‘F’.
