Father causes 2-month-old baby’s arm to be amputated after beating him for crying at night

Doctors have been forced to amputate a two-month-old baby’s arm after it decayed. According to reports, baby Miracle’s hand had to be cut off after pediatricians realized it was decaying and amputating it was the only solution left.

Baby Miracle is a victim of abuse after his father, Confidence Amatobi, beat him for crying at night. Confidence allegedly used a plastic hanger to repeatedly hit the two-month-old on his right hand because he was crying so much at night and disturbed his sleep. The little boy sustained serious injuries, and when taken to the hospital doctors were left with no choice but to amputate it since it had started decaying.

Miracle’s mother, Favor Chikwe, could not have taken the little boy to the hospital sooner as the father had blocked her from doing so. Favor was also not present when the beating occurred because she had left Miracle under the care of his father as she had gone to use the convenience. She was alarmed by Miracle’s cry and when she rushed back she found his arm swollen and broken from the beating.

The father of the boy who has since gone missing has been declared wanted by the Nigerian law enforcement police.
