Deputy President William Ruto has gone back to Western in a vivacious endeavor to charm the region to support his presidential bid in 2022.

Ruto went to a thanksgiving occasion for Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa in Western last Friday.

The DP is today anticipated to preside over the fundsdrive in help of the Bungoma Catholic Church.

National Assembly Chief Whip Benjamin Washiali said the service was arranged a while ago and the DP felt the commitment to respect it.

“I can confirm that indeed the DP will attend the church function as earlier planned and a host of MPs including myself have also been invited,” Washiali told Sunday Standard on phone.

Be that as it may, Washiali, insisted that the Ruto and his team were not competing with other politicians.

Washiali further pointed out that DP’s team was worried about the possibility of Gideon and Amani National Congress (ANC) chief Musalia Mudavadi working together ahead of 2022.
