The new kid on the block, Radio 47 will begin its live programs on Monday March 13, 2023.

The station has been running teasers on social media and its sister station TV 47 for about two weeks now.

However, anxious Kenyans want to know who will steer what program as the countdown continues.

Weekdays programming

4 am to 6 am: Nuru 47. This program will be hosted by radio veteran Eva Mwalili alias Mama Taifa who was poached from Milele FM.

6am – 10am: Breakfast 47. Emmanuel Mwashumbe na Mkamburi Chigogo will host the program. Mwashumbe was poached from Standard Media Group owned Radio Maisha while his colleague was poached from Radio Kaya.

TV veteran Mwanaisha Chidzuga will take over from the duo up to 1pm.

1pm to 3pm: Baze 47. This program will seek to hoodwink the youth across the country, steered by Manucho the Young Turk.

3pm – 7pm: Maskani 47. Billy Miya na Mbaruk Mwalimu will steer this drive show. The duo was poached from Radio Maisha.

8pm – 11pm: Chemba Show. Comedian Sande Bush popularly known as Dr. Ofweneke will host the program.

Weekend programming (Saturday)
7am-11am: Bahari la Elimu. Hassan Mwana wa Ali, poached from Radio Maisha, will host this program.

11am-3pm: Sato Vibe (Mkamburi Chigogo).
3pm-7pm: Mikiki ya Spoti (Hassan Mwana wa Ali and Lucky Heriano).

Weekend programming (Sunday)
5am-10am: Radio 47 Jumapili (Eva Mwalili)
10am-4pm: Back-to-back gospel music
4pm-8pm: Gumzo la 47 Viwanjani (Hassan Mwana wa Ali and Lucky Heriano).

8pm-11pmKali za Kale (Eric Wambugu the OG)

Radio 47 joins hundreds of other radio stations in Kenya, and will be looking to cut a niche for itself in the highly competitive and saturated market.
