MP Chris Wamalwa urges Christians not to misuse freedom of worship

Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa has asked Christians not to misuse the opportunity of worshipping by not observing all the rules from the Health Ministry on coronavirus.

He said Coronavirus being a transferable illness must be contained through moral duty and control.

“My advice to the church not to abuse the freedom of worship by breaking MOH and the guidelines towards combating the spread of Coronavirus,” he said.

He reminded the assemblage to look for God’s direction, and cited Mathew 7:7; Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you (NIV).

The legislator, who is also the Catholic MPs chair was speaking at St. Kizito Catholic Church in Matisi. He said the nation was at an intersection edge in the existence history of the planet Earth where humanity is faced with incessant pandemics which doctors haven’t had a response for.

Kwanza MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi who went with him advised Christians to observe all rules, and cautioned that the CODID-19 disease which is spreading quickly need not be assumed by anybody.

”My friend Mutahi Kagwe has on several occasions reminded us not to treat this disease normally so that it doesn’t treat us abnormally. My call to congregants here and all over the country is to keep a safe distance, sanitize and properly wear face masks,” he said.

Citing from Nehemiah 2:17, Wanyonyi said Kenyans of varying backgrounds required supplication more than they have had for the Lord to reconstruct the nation after the staggering ruins brought about by the coronavirus which has broken the economy.
