JKUAT issues cholera outbreak alert

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology administration has issued a cholera alert to its students following a series of health check conducted by the Medical department.

JKUAT administration arrived at this decision after a series of students reported sick.  Medical checks indicated that the students were positive with the cholera virus.

The administration through its chain of command issued the warning to all students and warned them of bringing in unverified foods and drinks.

Also the JKUAT cafeteria has been cautioned about the out break.

The university administration has since banned entrance of fries, salads, fruit juices and fresh milk from local vendors.

The measures have been taken in a move to curb the outbreak of this deadly and viral virus.
