DP Ruto a NO SHOW in Suluhu welcoming

The bridge between UhuRuto continues to collapse even further, as Deputy President William Ruto was yesterday not seen in the welcoming event of Tanzania President Samia Suluhu Hassan.

Ruto, was a no show either in the airport where the entourage was received by Kenya’s foreign affair minister, or in State House where the head of state was received by her Kenyan counterpart Uhuru Kenyatta.

Samia, arrived in Kenya yesterday where she was received by Raychelle Omamo( Foreign Affairs) and Ambassador Amina Mohammed(Sports CS).

The Head of State then proceeded to state house where she was accorded a 21 gun salute before inspecting a guard of honour paraded outside the state house.

When contacted by the press to establish why the Deputy was a no show, Ruto’s director of communication Emmanuel Talam said that the office had not received any official communication or invitation for the deputy president to attend the function.

Instead, the Deputy President hosted AIC Reverent Daniel Lutono in his Karen home, where he handed a car to him in what he termed as helping the church with an evangelization tool.

President Samia, is today expected to address a joint Senate and National Assembly sitting. It is unclear whether the Deputy will attend the sitting or will once again miss the event.

This is so far the third national event Ruto is missing, having been absent during the Labor day celebrations, as well as initiation of the vaccination programme for cabinet secretaries.
