Busia s3x workers reuse condoms as shortage hits country

Busia s3x workers have started feeling the effect of the shortage of condoms in the country. There will be a shortage of government-sponsored condoms as it was reported that WHO would cut Kenya from countries that get free condoms. According to WHO Kenya is now ranked as a country that is stable enough and doesn’t need condom donations.

And now, s3x workers from Busia have been forced to reuse condoms as they decry that the shortage is affecting them. The s3x workers now say that they have to wash and reuse the condoms to meet customer demand.

They are now pleading with the government to release government-sponsored condoms because without the protection they are at risk of contracting s3xually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDs and the likes.

Speaking to NTV, one of the workers has begged the government to intervene.

We are pleading with the government to release condoms to Busia because our lives are at risk,” the woman told NTV.

The shortage has not only hit s3x workers but also other Busia residents who use condoms. They have now called upon the government to take action or else a lot of unplanned pregnancies are going to be reported in the county.

Government-sponsored condoms are expected to be out-phased by 2024 if the government does not intervene.
