Police in Uasin Gishu county have arrested three more suspects in connection with the killing of gay activist Edwin Chiloba.
This comes one day after the arrest of Jackton Odhiambo, who confessed to killing Chiloba with the help of two accomplices.
The two men, Odhiambo and Chiloba had cohabited for some time as “husband and wife.”
According to Odhiambo, he murdered Chiloba after learning that the slain was “cheating on him with another man.”
However, on Sunday, the police arrested a cousin to the main suspect, a friend and a taxi driver and are believed to have aided in the disposal of the body.
Uasin Gishu DCI officer Peter Kimulwa confirmed the arrests saying the suspects are helping with investigations.
Mr Kimulwa said a vehicle used to dispose the body has since been impounded.
