Three students died instantly after a lorry rammed into a classroom in Gomba district, Uganda.

In the Tuesday afternoon carnage, 18 other students were injured, police have said.

Police say the truck driver lost control and rammed into the fence at Kasaka Senior Secondary School, before proceeding through to the school computer lab.

Police say the truck driver was arrested pending arraignment.

“We have arrested the truck driver, one Wanume Abudala, a 26-year-old,” police said.
