Teacher arrested for defiling class 7 girl

seven suspects arrested

Police have arrested a primary school teacher who reportedly defiled a class seven girl last year in Transmara West Sub-County, Narok County.

Deputy County Commissioner Hassan Noor said that the teacher has been in hiding since the 26th of December when he allegedly committed the act.

“We, however, were notified that he reported back to school this morning and we sent our officers who arrested and took him Emurua Dikir Police Station.” Said Mr. Noor.

According to the Commissioner, the police have been looking for the suspect for two weeks. He was glad that he got to be arrested as this intensifies the war against defilement cases which he pointed out have been on the increase in the area.

“The suspect will be interrogated and arraigned in court to be charged with defilement as soon as the investigations are over.” He added.

In the wake of this incidence, parents have been urged to be careful with their children and not to entrust them with strangers who might have ill intentions.
