Rihanna is now the wealthiest female musician in the world

According to Forbes, the pop star is worth $1.7 billion (£1.2 billion), with an estimated $1.4 billion coming from the value of her Fenty Beauty cosmetics company making her to be officially crowned a billionaire and the wealthiest female musician in the world.

The 33-year-old Barbadian singer is now second to Oprah Winfrey as the richest female entertainer, with the TV host and philanthropist who worth an estimated $2.7bn (£1.9bn).

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty launched Fenty Beauty in 2017 in a partnership with luxury goods company LVMH whom at that time said the aim of the line was to appeal every type of woman and launched 40 different foundation shades, over which by then it was largely unprecedented.

The LVMH Company said the line brought in more than $550 million in annual revenue in its first year.

Rihanna is one of the biggest stars of the 21st century. She has broken several music records, won nine Grammys and successfully launched inclusive make up and fashion lines.

In 2004, a year before releasing her first hit single “Pon de Replay”, Rihanna won her High School beauty pageant and crowned Miss Combermere.

Before becoming a worldwide phenomenon, she was an army cadet in a sub-military program in Barbados in her home country. In an interview with the Daily Mail publication, she confirmed that her military training helped her to compete in the beauty pageant.

“My military training came in handy for learning to balance books on my head for the catwalk,” she said.

Rihanna is the most successful beauty entrepreneur. She is a celebrity who has capitalized on social media building her beauty brand. She has 101 million followers on Instagram and 102.5 million on Twitter and this is just but to mention.
