Alleged ‘Fake Lawyer’ Brian Mwenda Njagi Faces Charges in Milimani Court”

Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi – Brian Mwenda Njagi, the man facing allegations of being a ‘fake lawyer,’ made his first appearance before the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Milimani Law Courts today, where he stands accused of impersonating an advocate of the Supreme Court of Kenya.

Accompanied by his legal counsel, Danstan Omari, and former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, Mwenda arrived at the court as the case against him unfolds.

Mwenda’s legal troubles began when he voluntarily turned himself in at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters on Tuesday, leading to his subsequent arrest.

In response to these serious allegations, Eric Theuri, the President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), has indicated that the organization, representing the legal profession, will seek a comprehensive review of all cases that Mwenda was involved in to ensure that justice is upheld. If any wrongdoing is discovered, LSK will advocate for the re-prosecution of these cases.

The proceedings in this high-profile case are expected to shed light on the extent of the alleged impersonation and deception, raising questions about the integrity of the legal profession. The legal community and the public will be closely following the developments in this case as it unfolds in Milimani Court.
