A horrifying collision on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway claimed the lives of ten individuals early Monday morning. The incident, which occurred at 3:00 am, involved a 14-passenger matatu en route to Nakuru and a truck heading in the opposite direction towards Eldoret.

The crash unfolded at the Ngata stretch, leaving several others injured who were swiftly transported to Nakuru Level 6 Hospital for medical attention.

A police officer at the scene described the accident as extremely severe, with a head-on collision that took nearly an hour to separate the two vehicles.

Tragically, accidents have become a recurring issue on this stretch of road, according to local law enforcement.
