Bomet Woman Representative Linet Toto has turned down a marriage proposal from an elderly man who made his feelings known to her during a Mogotio function.
Toto was one of the Rift Valley politicians present at the Mogotio MP Hon. Reuben Kiborek’s thanksgiving event and she appeared to have captured the hearts of both young and old men with her attractiveness.
Toto responded to a man named Kirwa who appeared to have expressed an interest in taking her as his wife while speaking to the people.
Toto insisted that Kirwa was her father’s agemate and she was hunting for a young man from her generation.
“You have heard Kirwa saying he wants to marry me. You are like my father; you can’t marry me. Find me a suitor who’s my age mate. I need one who’s in my age group,” she said as the audience burst out laughing.
After the general election on August 9, 2022, Linet Chepkorir, also known as “Toto,” made history by becoming the youngest woman representative.
Ms. Chepkorir graduated from Chuka University in April 2021.
She took office as the third woman representative in Bomet County after defeating eight competitors who were older.
