Walter Nyambane to vie for Presidential seat in 2022

Former comedian currently working as the Director of Youth Affairs, Walter Nyambane, has said will vie for the presidential seat next year.

Nyambane said during an interview with Churchill in ‘Journey Series’ edition, that dreams are valid.

“We are giving Kenyans another opportunity to choose someone else to proceed. At this time, I do not know who is going to be the president but I can rule myself out. Dreams are valid,” he said.

Nyambane also said that most of his time in life, he used to imitate the president knowing that one day he will rule the country.

“I used to imitate presidents and you know, you can act something until you become. I think I faked it and I hopeful to make it someday. Elections are coming in 2022 and our president has done what he needed to do within the abilities and the capabilities he had, we are coming in 2022,” he added.

The former comedian who acted in the famous ‘Redycyluss’ TV programme, and appointed as the Director of Youths in 2017, said his responsibility is to offer pieces of advice to the president on matters concerning youths.

“I ensure that everything that is put out there targeting the young people has the intended impact. It pains to see the desperation that has been created in our youths, in a country where we enjoy relative stability.”

He also reminded the younger musicians to think about the content they pass to people, and see if it will embrace them 20 years to come.

“I will always be an ambassador of clean content. What content you are putting out on the digital platforms, remember internet never forgets. Twenty years from now will you be proud of it? The message is, think about the impact you have with your brand,” said Walter.
