President Uhuru Kenyatta has described Jubilee party rebels and his critics in the party as selfish idiots hell-bent on alienating him from some regions of the nation.

The president told his critics that his decision to work with opposition leader Raila Odinga, was for the common good.

“I, my friends, am not one to be easily intimidated. Especially when I know the path I have taken and where I want to go is the best place for Kenya,” said Uhuru.

Speaking yesterday in Mombasa County, Uhuru said he would not be intimidated by the likes of Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who thrive on political threats.

Kuria on December 31 criticized the president alleging that Central Kenya region had been neglected because Uhuru was busy developing other regions that did not even vote for Jubilee.

“I am not the type to get threatened easily. Those idiots trying to threaten us should know Kenya has changed,” Uhuru said in apparent reference to Kuria and Subukia’s Kimani Ngunjiri.

The two had accused the President of ignoring Jubilee and Mt. Kenya in favour of Raila and opposition strongholds.

Uhuru and Raila were in Mombasa to launch refurbishment of Sh460 million Mama Ngina Waterfront project.
