Seven suspected law breakers from Ntumu area in Meru County are being held by police and after they abducted a woman and endeavored to forcefully circumcise her.

The seven, Timothy Njagi, Douglas Micheni, Jonathan Nthiga, Elijah Mbaabu, Jane Kawira, Hellen Gacheri and Zachayo Shem were presented before Chuka Chief Magistrate John Njoroge and accused of assaulting the woman.

It isn’t known why they needed to expose the lady to such a boorish demonstration, however it is generally believed to have been an attempt to rebuff her on somebody’s requests.

The court heard that the seven were captured after Christine Murithi, a little girl to the complainant detailed the issue to Marima patrol base after which cops swung without hesitation.
