A three student at St Joseph Nyabigena secondary school in Kisii County has allegedly been killed by a school prefect who found him perusing the bible.

He was pronounced dead upon landing in the Tabaka Mission medical clinic where he had been rushed after the occurrence.

According to Nation the form three student got into an argument with the prefect after he was discovered reading a bible at 7am on Tuesday, February 26.

A student who discussed the issue says that the prefect, a form four student slapped the student in question and kicked him in the stomach severally.

The deceased was in school cordiality of a well-wisher in the wake of losing his mum in 2015.

In spite of the fact that the school turned down requests to address the media, a segment of teachers have blamed the school management for giving excessive power to prefects.

Area Police Commander Martin Kibet who affirmed the occurrence said that police are now conducting investigations concerning the issue.
