Sammy Omollo leaves Posta Rangers

Posta Rangers have Sacked his head coach Sammy Omollo ‘Pamzo’ following a string of underwhelming performances this season that have left the club on position 13 on the table.

Rangers have only won once this season drawing seven time and losing thrice. Their performances this season have been disappointing, some coming against weaker sides.

It seems like the Kenya U23 head coach and former Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi is set to take over at the club.

Omollo also had a poor performance as Gor Mahia’s interim coach in the CAF Champions League, a stint which he may not wish to remember following their 8-1 aggregate loss to Algerian side CR Belouizdad.

Pamzo may however still be on his way to Gor Mahia as an assistant coach to Portuguese Vaz Pinto with Gor still on the lookout for an assistant following Patrick Odhiambo’s departure to Kakamega Homeboyz in the same capacity.

Sammy Omollo will be remembered for guiding Tusker to their 11th Kenyan Premier League trophy in 2016 as head coach, a feat very few local coaches can boast of.
