Jubilee vice-chairperson David Murathe has called on Rift Valley people to produce an alternative candidate for 2022 presidential poll.

The Jubilee vice-chair dismissed Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid, saying that the DP has served his term and should get ready to exit in 2022.

“Huyu mtu ukimuachia dakika kidogo unaona kile anafanya. Sasa ukipatia yeye hii kiti si kutakuwa kubaya? (You can see what this man can do with the little time he has been given. It will be bad if he is given the seat),” Murathe told The Star on phone yesterday.

Murathe was was alluding to Ruto as he reacted to calls by Ruto partners that the party should conduct vote to “have a leadership with a legitimate mandate.”

Last week, the ex-Gatnga MP urged Western Kenya politicians to unite and “give Central Kenya somebody they can work with” in the 2022 presidential race.
