Rift Valley MPs threaten to impeach Trade CS Moses Kuria

A section of Rift Valley Members of Parliament has threatened to table a motion to impeach Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.

The collection of signatures to impeach CS Kuria will start Wednesday 23, November 2022.

This follows the CS decision to allow the importation of GMO maize into the country.

Pokot South MP David Pkosing said that they will collect signatures from Wednesday seeking to impeach Kuria if he doesn’t change.

Trade CS Moses Kuria had on Monday said a legal notice for the importation of Genetically Modified Maize by millers was due this week.

However, before the State would give legal authority for the importation of maize, the ship docked at the Mombasa Port.
