Kakamega senator Dr. Boni Khalwale, on Sunday derided Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Raila Odinga, saying the latter is punching above his weight.
Khalwale, a staunch supporter of President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration took a swipe at Raila via his Twitter handle.
“The biggest seat that Raila has ever won is MP for Lang’ata Constituency. He should stop punching above his weight,” he said.
The senator’s remarks come ahead of a planned public rally at Jacaranda grounds on Sunday afternoon.
The much-hyped rally has witnessed thousands of supporters ahead of Raila’s arrival.
Earlier on Sunday, Mr Odinga, Azimio co-principals Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka among other key leaders fellowshipped at Jesus Teaching Ministries Church in Donholm, Nairobi.
The Jacaranda rally is dubbed “No handshake rally.”
