Patient dies in Ambulance mishap on Mombasa-Nairobi Highway

A patient who had been admitted to the Moi Refferal Hospital in Voi has passed on in an ambulance mishap.

The ambulance was travelling to the Coast General Hospital when the mishap happened on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Witnesses state that the driver lost control of the speedily moving vehicle, veered off the road before rolling a few times.

The patient was taken back to the Moi Refferal Hospital with breathing complications where he died.

The driver of the ambulance, a doctor and relative of the perished are receiving treatment at the same facility as investigations concerning what caused the mishap continues.
