One dead, four hospitalized after attending end year party hosted by their employer

One person passed on while four are hospitalized after attending an end year party facilitated by their employer in Elburgon.

The five, all aged between 25 and 45 years, had been attending the end year party at a bar in Elburgon town on Sunday up to 8pm when they left for their individual homes while drunk.

According to police reports, the five construction workers all fell unconscious on arriving in their homes, and were taken to Elburgon Sub District Hospital.

A clinical officer at the healing center, Charles Mariga, informed police that he succeeded in stabilizing four of them, yet one couldn’t make it and was pronounced dead.

Officers say they have gathered samples of the alcoholic beverages from the bar to help in the probe as they get ready to have a postmortem conducted on the body.
