Old man who single-handedly built a road receives goodies from bank and companies

The great deeds of a man from Murang’a County who without any help constructed a road linking local people to a market have pulled in the consideration of ABC Bank.

The bank’s delegates met Nicholas Muchemi, 45, and guaranteed him a few treats for his respectable task.

​The bank is set to purchase home feeds for his dairy animals for a half year just as enroll him in a SACCO where he can stash his milk earnings.

Rhino Mabati Factory, then again, gave him a few rooftop sheets for his bovine shed while Water and Sanitation PS Joseph Irungu guaranteed water was funneled to his home.

A quotation for power was likewise done to guarantee his house is lit up in the coming days.

Muchemi constructed a one-kilometer road linking local people to Kaganda market after the one they were using was blocked by the land owner.

“I had made desperate appeals to the local leaders to have the road built but all in vain.

“It was then that I decided to build it using my farm tools for the sake of women and children and to save time,” he said.
