Nakuru county official Samuel Kingori succumbs to COVID-19

Nakuru county official Samuel Kingori who has been battling COVID-19 has died early today following a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment.

His death was confirmed by Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui while passing his condolences to the family, friends and colleagues.

Governor Kinyanjui said the public health chief officer has helped in fighting COVID-19 by mobilizing and coordinating health workers across the county.

“He was instrumental in laying our healthcare strategy plan that resulted in the upgrade of service delivery and infrastructure. He was very passionate for results and took great pride in a better Nakuru,” eulogized governor Kinyanjui.

Residents of Nakuru who were plunged in deep sorrow, have showed passion while mourning him on social media platform.

“We have lost a hero in public health May God rest his soul in eternal peace,” said Sarah Bebi Dan.

Grace Koi Karuga mourned him as a dedicated and honest servant.

“My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends colleagues and the good people of Nakuru County. We have indeed lost an honest and dedicated servant. Rest with the Angels sir,” she stated.
