MP Makali pledges to work for all

Kanduyi Member of Parliament John Makali has promised an all-inclusive administration as he takes over.

Speaking on Tuesday at NG-CDF Kanduyi offices, Makali said going forward, he will be MP for all Kanduyi residents but not Ford Kenya followers.

“Politics is over. Let’s now join hands to build our constituency,” he declared.

Makali, elected on the Wetang’ula led Ford Kenya, defeated Wafula Wamunyinyi of DAP-K.

But While taking over from his predecessor on Tuesday September 27, 2022, Makali appealed to residents to do away with party politics.

“Stop aligning yourselves to this or that leader; all of us are one people and I’m MP for all,” he appealed.

Wamunyinyi and Makali met face-to-face for the first time since August 9 general elections, in what turned out to be a fun-filled day.

During his campaign, Makali promised to put up NG-CDF funded storeyed classrooms in every school across the constituency.

However, he takes over at a time when the fund has been outlawed.
