Miguna’s morning radio interview botched over indemnity form

Controversial Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna was on Monday set to have an interview with Standard Group Plc subsidiary, Spice FM.

However, the interview failed to take off, with Miguna alleging that he was asked to sign an indemnity form prior to the interview.

In an earlier tweet which he immediately pulled down, Miguna blasted the media house and their owner, terming it a set up.

According to the form, Miguna was to solely take responsibility for his opinion, utterances and invasion of personal privacy.

“I’ve appeared on TV and radio for the past 30 years but not once has a media house – including @StandardKenya and @KTNNewsKE – asked me to sign a blanket indemnity form,” he later tweeted.

Miguna Miguna is known for his controversial remarks when he appears on TV for an interview.

In 2016, KTN News was forced to drop one of its prime shows, Jeff Koinange Live, after Miguna tore into now Nairobi Women Representative Esther Passaris.

Mr. Koinange would later apologize to the audience before moving to Citizen TV.
