Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operators have called off the countrywide boycott following talks with the government that resolved some of the contentious issues.
Matatu Welfare Association Chairman Dickson Mbugua says operators arrived at a consensus Monday evening following discussions with Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
Mbugua says they have agreed to have the yellow line on matatus broken, as opposed to an earlier directive that it had to be continuous in what caused confusion.
Over 3,000 offenders were arrested in the ongoing crackdown targeting non-compliant Public Service Vehicles as police reinforce the famous Michuki rules.
