A man is nursing injuries at the Meru Level 5 hospital after he was gang raped and castrated.

The man who is a tea picker in Githaku, Central Imenti, was accosted by culprits on his route home after leaving a bar at Githaku shopping centre.

The area OCS is yet to give an announcement on the episode to uncover what precisely unfolded.

Be that as it may, as indicated by residents, the injured individual was assaulted not long after leaving a bar near Githaku Market where he was having a drink.

Cliff Kigunda, a resident, said the group continued to sodomize the tea picker and inserted a bottle in his behind opening.

“The man was sodomised, castrated, and to make it worse they inhumanely put a bottle in his backside,” Kigunda said.

He further said that the victim’s groin was seriously damaged and medics were forced to perform broad medical surgery in the region.

Githaku residents say they are leaving in fear and not even men can risk to walk around after sunset.

The gang is believed to comprise of youngsters who are part of the Githaku Community.
