Kisumu: 12 officers suspended over “hauling” incident.

Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong’o has suspended all the 12 officers involved in an incident where a lady hawker was hauled behind a quickly moving vehicle.

In an outrageous video on Wednesday, some county officers were captured hauling a lady on the landing area in a quickly moving vehicle.

The video shows the officers hurrying the scared and shouting seller to Central Central police station.

Beatrice Atieno, 39, was left with wounds after the video that was shared broadly via web-based media.

Nyong’o said the suspension is up until investigations are done.

“As investigations continue on this matter with the urgency it deserves, I have directed the City Manager to immediately suspend from duty all the Officers who were involved in this incident with immediate effect,” he said.

He further said all County implementation officials should complete their obligations while completely regarding basic liberties.

This order comes as when there is pressure from various occupants, basic freedoms associations calling for seizure and arraignment of the officers

The Kenya Human Rights Commission condemned stating that noted Govenor Nyong’o should ensure action is taken again officers involved.

In their authority Twitter handle, KHRC noticed that the Nyong’o needs to guarantee that the officials are distinguished, seized and arraigned.
