Former Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala on Sunday penned down an emotional message to his mother, leaving Kenyans with admiration.

Taking to his social media accounts, Malala described his mother as a pillar, who has stood with him through thick and thin.

“I pray for you mama; the strongest pillar of my life,” said.

Kenyans immediately took up the challenge, with some using the opportunity to remember their own mums.

Malala, a Kenya Kwanza ally, lost his gubernatorial bid to Fernandez Barasa in the just concluded elections.

So far, his name has featured prominently on Ruto’s appointment list.

Speculations of him becoming Sports CS are rife.
