“Instead of going to Heaven you go to America!” Museveni slams Ugandans

President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda has slammed Ugandans, amid the pocket breaking economy in the East African country.

With the rising cost of living, Ugandans are forced to spend a fortune on basic commodities such as bread.

However, the long-serving Head of State attributes the inflation to the Russia-Ukraine war.

“Recently when the Europeans started fighting amongst themselves and prices of commodities including wheat skyrocketed, I advised you, people, to eat cassava, some media houses made it a laughing stock. Now, I have been vindicated,” Museveni said in video uploaded on his official Twitter handle.

With many Ugandans wishing to live in America, Museveni said inflation has not spared the country.

“Recently some of my children who live somewhere in America went to a supermarket. They found a 600g cassava flour is $ 16. You know some of you prefer going there instead of going to Heaven!” He said.
